Surfers Paradise is the Gold Coast's high-rise centre - the beachfront towers along the Esplanade, the older mid-rise blocks behind them, and a quieter side along the Nerang River, where Chevron Island and the riverfront streets hold some of the area's best houses.
Most of our Surfers work is in apartments. Plenty of the buildings are 20 to 40 years old, with kitchens to match: closed-in, short on storage, and finished in whatever was fashionable when the tower went up. The views are still the selling point. The goal is an interior that finally lives up to them.

In a Surfers apartment the kitchen, bar, study and laundry all share one open space, so the joinery has to do several jobs and still look like one piece. What we plan for
Tower renovations run on the building's terms - body corporate approval, booked lifts, restricted hours and noise rules. We plan around all of it and make the cabinetry in our workshop, so most of the time on site is install, not construction. Riverfront homes are a different job: more like the canal suburbs, with the kitchen opened up to the water.

Yes - it's most of what we do here. We handle the body corporate paperwork, book the lifts, work inside the building's hours and keep the time on site short by building the cabinetry in our workshop first.
Our apartment kitchen is small - is custom joinery worth it? +
Small spaces are where it pays off most. Made-to-measure cabinetry uses the full height and every awkward corner, and integrated appliances and flush doors make a compact kitchen feel like part of the living room.
Can you fit a concealed bar or laundry into an apartment? +
Yes. Drinks cabinets behind flush or pocket doors and laundries hidden in a cupboard are two of the most common requests we get in Surfers apartments.
