Standards & Compliance
Engineered stone has changed - and so have we. We work only with surfaces that are fully compliant with current Australian standards: natural stone, porcelain, Dekton and timber. It's one less thing to think about, and honestly, the better materials anyway. More on the change in our guide to what replaced engineered stone.

What benchtop materials do you use now engineered stone is banned? +
Natural stone, porcelain, Dekton and timber - all fully compliant with current Australian standards. These are the surfaces a luxury kitchen wants anyway: harder-wearing, more characterful and, in most cases, more beautiful than engineered stone.
Dekton vs porcelain vs natural stone - which is right for me? +
Natural stone for character and a true centrepiece; porcelain for a seamless, low-maintenance large-format look; Dekton where you want maximum durability, including outdoors. We help you choose in the design package, against your budget and how you live.
What cabinetry profiles and finishes can I choose from? +
Shaker, slab/handleless, fluted, V-groove, in-frame and curved profiles, in American oak, walnut, limed oak and Blackbutt timbers or hand-finished 2pac paint. We match the profile and finish to your home and to the benchtop in the design package.
Are your benchtops compliant with the engineered-stone changes? +
Yes. We work only with materials that are fully compliant with current Australian standards, and our trades follow current safe-handling practice. It's not something you need to worry about with us.
Which surface is best for an outdoor kitchen? +
Dekton or porcelain - both shrug off UV, heat and the weather far better than most stone, so an alfresco benchtop still looks right years on.
