Renovating in Isle of Capri
Built for Isle of Capri homes.
Isle of Capri is one of the Gold Coast's original man-made islands - a prestige enclave just off Surfers Paradise, ringed by canals and connected by a single bridge. It's tightly held and unmistakably exclusive, with a mix of cherished mid-century originals and a growing number of architectural rebuilds.
The island draws owners who value the address and the privacy. Homes range from carefully-kept period houses to large contemporary builds, but the through-line is the same: people who want their home finished to a standard the location deserves, without it feeling showy.
The renovation that suits these homes
On Capri every kitchen renovation is bespoke by definition - no two homes are alike, so the kitchen has to be cut to the house. We design and make it to measure for the space rather than dropping cabinetry in, then carry the same detail into dressing rooms and whole-home joinery where the brief calls for it.
What we plan for
Island blocks and older homes can throw up tight access and out-of-square walls - both of which custom joinery handles far better than anything modular. We measure on site, make to the millimetre, and plan the install around the realities of getting onto and into the home.

Endorsements
“The first thing that comes to mind is 'total transformation'. Having a builder that has an internal design team is fantastic. If I was to do anything else on the coast, 4D would be the team I would ring and I'd be more than comfortable to recommend them to anyone.”

Isle of Capri kitchen renovation FAQs
Good to know.
Do you make custom kitchens and robes for Isle of Capri homes? +
Yes. The island's homes are all individual, so the joinery is made to each one - statement kitchens, walk-in dressing rooms, and joinery throughout. We measure on site and build to the space.
Our Isle of Capri home is an older build with quirky walls - is that a problem? +
Not at all - it's the case for custom joinery. We scribe and fit to out-of-square walls and tight spaces so everything lands flush, which off-the-shelf cabinetry can't do.
How do you handle a kitchen renovation with tight access on the island? +
We plan it from the first measure. The cabinetry is built in our Southport workshop to suit what can physically get into the home, deliveries are scheduled around island access, and our own team handles demolition through to install - so there's one schedule to manage, not several.
How much does a kitchen renovation cost on Isle of Capri? +
It depends on scope - a single kitchen sits at one end, a whole-home fitout runs higher. The design package gives you a clear budget before any commitment.
